Our client, a well-established financial institution in Kenya, is seeking a highly qualified Office Support Staff – Cleaner.
The Office Support Staff – Cleaner will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning duties effectively and efficiently, to maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene to create a pleasant environment for the Organization’s staff and external visitors.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Empty waste bins and transporting waste material to designated collection points.
- Sweep floors with dust control mops.
- Mop floors with wet or damp mops.
- Dry and damp dusting of furniture and fittings.
- Dust, damp wipe, wash, polish furniture, windowsills, external surfaces of cabinets, shelves, and fittings.
- Replenish consumable items (soap, toilet rolls, hand towels).
- Clean the toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks.
- Undertake wall washing, window and louvers.
- Washing skirting, trucking, and panels.
- Report any repair work that needs to be done.
- Any other assigned duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time
Academic and Professional Qualifications
- Valid KCSE Certificate.
Work Experience
- Two (2) years working experience as a cleaner in a cleaning company/or other organizations of a similar scope.

- Ability to handle cleaning equipment and machinery.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods.
- Knowledge of best cleaning practices.

- Self-motivation and ability to identify and complete needed tasks without direct supervision.
- Strong work ethics and positive approach to assigned duties.
